    最近比较热闹的就是一位留学生的毕业演讲，当然，还是看到全文或许才会有自我的判断吧？但无论如何，留学低龄化已经是个不争的事实，豪门富贵的子女大抵在海外求学也是不争的事实。

    美国马里兰大学的一位华人毕业生，被选为学生代表上台演讲，某些媒体如《北美留学生日报》，给她贴标签说涉嫌辱华。这位同学在演讲中赞美了美国的言论自由，提到了中国的雾霾。

    上个世纪80年代，中国民间曾经批判走出国门的开放者，说他们认为外国的月亮比中国圆。看今天的讨论，在观念和修辞上，并没有什么突破。

    Good afternoon faculty students parents and friends.

    I am truly honored and grateful to speak at the commencement for the University of Maryland， Class of 2017.

    People often ask me: hy did you come to the University of Maryland?

    I alays anser: Fresh air.

    Five years ago， as I step off the plane from China， and left the terminal at Dallas Airport. I as ready to put on one of my five face masks， but hen I took my first breath of American air. I put my mask aay.

    The air as so seet and fresh， and oddly luxurious.

    I as surprised by this. I gre up in a city in China， here I had to ear a face mask every time I ent outside， otherise， I might get sick.

    Hoever， the moment I inhaled and exhaled outside the airport.

    I felt free.

    No more fog on my glasses， no more difficult breathing， no more suppression.

    Every breath as a delight. As I stand here today， I cannot help， but recall that feeling of freedom.

    At the University of Maryland， I ould soon feel another kind of fresh air for hich I ill be forever grateful — the fresh air of free speech.

    Before I came to United States， I learned in history class about the Declaration of Independence， but these ords had no meaning to me— Life， Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness.

    I as merely memorizing the ords to get good grades.

    These ords sounded so strange， so abstract and so foreign to me， until I came to University of Maryland.

    I have leaned the right to freely express oneself is sacred in American.

    Each day in Maryland， I as encouraged to express my opinions on controversial issues.

    I could challenge a statement made by my instructor. I could even rate my professors online.
